How Our Membership Plan Works

Select Your Plan: Choose the plan that meets your needs. We offer plans for Individuals for $36 per year as well as a Family Plan for $48 per year. The Family plan is for as many family members per household as needed

Select Your Dentist: Click here to find a dentist in your area. UFT Direct Access has hundreds of NY Metropolitan area dentists including general practitioners and specialists to choose from. All dentists must meet our credentialing standards in order to participate. You can use any combination of general practitioners and specialists and change dentists at any time

Make an Appointment: Call and schedule an appointment with a participating dentist. Identify yourself as a UFT Direct Access Member and you can start saving. The discounts have been pre-negotiated for you and are published here

Procedures offered: You can click here to view all of the procedures that are covered as well as the price you will pay for each procedure. All of our prices are pre-negotiated so you know what you will pay before you visit the dentist. There are no additional or surprise charges

Payment to dentist: Because this membership is not insurance, there is no reimbursement. You simply pay the price, as listed on the website, for whichever procedures you get at the time of your visit. All of the costs are out-of-pocket at our affordable member-discount rates. There are no additional fees to what is listed on our Savings page. Additionally there are no annual maximums or deductibles

The "Sponsor" is the UFT member, and the rest of the information added should be for the individuals who would be using the plan. There is no waiting period or open enrollment. As soon as you sign up you can print your card and start using your membership for dental savings right away
